Although I do tend to favor a little black dress and know my way around the Tiffany collections, there’s a side of me that craves adventure on the open road and feels just as comfortable at a hole-in-the-wall dive as the proverbial Michelin-starred restaurant. (And sometimes the dive has better food.)​​​

​Despite a privileged upbringing tucked away in the countryside, I never wanted the picket-fence future that was expected of me. (Although I play the role of the uptown girl quite well.) I tumbled into the demimonde through a combination of cat-like curiosity and intellectual inquiry alongside a healthy skepticism of social norms, where I swiftly fell in love with the world behind the looking glass — the thrilling rush of operating behind the scenes, the brilliant minds I otherwise would not have met, the dining, the travel…
